The My NASA Data website offers a variety of opportunities to explore Earth Science phenomena of the Atmosphere, Biosphere, Cryosphere, Geosphere, and Hydrosphere using uniquely NASA related content. 

Students examine satellite images of an island before and after a volcanic eruption to determine the impact of the eruption.

In this activity students will examine NASA data to determine the differences between a solar and lunar eclipse.

Before scientists may begin their work with these data, it is important that they understand what the data are.

The Eyjabakkajökull Glacier is an outlet glacier of the Vatnajökull ice cap in Iceland that has been retreating since a major surge occurred in 1973. Students analyze these maps to identify the scale and rate of change of the glacier loss.
