Earth System Approach
This tutorial explains how to download data from the My NASA Data Earth System Data Explorer and import it into Google Sheets.
The data visualization tool for My NASA Data, the Earth System Data Explorer, provides access to dozens of datasets. It can be used to produce maps, time series plots, and data tables which can be downloaded.
Check out the monthly 2018 images featuring two science variables related to Ocean Circulation:

Students can interact with NASA data to build a custom visualizations of local, regional, or global plant growth patterns over time, using the Earth System Data Explorer to generate plots of satellite data as they develop models of this phenomenon.
