Work Description

A soil biogeochemistry scientist focuses in the area of scientific applications of advanced mass spectrometry (MS) particularly to the field of natural organic matter characterization and elucidation of microbial processes. They are responsible for developing new sampling protocols for the analysis of organic matter from a variety of environmental matrices, understanding biases in extraction and analysis, aiding in the development of a suite of analytical approaches, including MS, NMR and omics, and contributing to the development of data analysis/visualization/integration workflows. 

Education

PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Biophysics, Biochemistry, Microbiology or related discipline.
