Changing Air Temperatures: Protocols and Data Sheets
Interested in collecting data about the featured phenomenon at your school? Visit this page to explore GLOBE protocols (data collection procedures) and student datasheets that support your students' investigations.
GLOBE protocols can be used to collect temperature data to examine how temperature is changing. Students can use the protocols to collect data and share their data with other GLOBE students around the world. As scientists continue their study of how changing temperatures are affecting our planet, GLOBE data can assist them in validating the data they are receiving from NASA satellites.
Datasheets are provided to guide students in the collection of data. Once data has been collected, students have the opportunity to enter their data on the GLOBE website so that it can be shared with others within the GLOBE community. This allows for a variety of research to be conducted comparing data from different locations around the world.
